You read that right – Part 1. Louisville and the surrounding area is an amazing Bachelorette destination that there is more than just one way to do it. So many different options that we need multiple posts so come back for future parts if you need more ideas.

Let’s Get This Party Started!

So it’s Thursday or Friday, your heading to Louisville Kentucky for you or your bestie’s Bachelorette party. So what do you? Below is an outline of the ultimate Bach party, or honestly great girls trip inspo.

The Champagnery: That is right – Classy AF. Hit up the Champagnery for happy hour and start your trip with a champagne flight and charcuterie board. Located close to some great restaurants and bars – its a great spot to loosen up with some of the girls. Great for pics too!

Food: Depending on your vibe, there are so many yummy spots in Louisville – if you want a bar feel try Silver Dollar, it’s right across the street from the Champagnery. If you want something a bit higher class, Selena’s is fantastic and has a great patio. La Bodeguita De Mima is also great and closer to the downtown scene. Lou Lou is a New Orleans style restaurant that is brand new that is in a very popular area in Nulu – extremely close to down town. Can’t go wrong with staying in that area with all the food, bars, breweries, shopping and distilleries.

Brunch: There are two really good brunch spots in Louisville that also do a Drag Brunch which is SO fun. The first is Le Moo, the food is amazing and can you say Britney Drag? Yes Please. Typically they only do Sunday’s though, which can be tricky if your party is heading out that day. Board and You Bistro also hosts a drag brunch, they are not too far away but you do have to cross the bridge into New Albany, Indiana. It really is not as far as it sounds – but also such a good time. This is also a great dinner spot as well! If you are not feeling Drag Brunch, Garage Bar which is downtown is a yummy brunch spot and great outdoor atmosphere – Butchertown Cafe is more bakery style coffee shop but the croissants are to-die for. Biscuit Belly has a couple locations across Louisville and they are a definite staple of Louisville – literally can not go wrong!

Night out: If you are headed to Louisville and want a party spot, there are really three main areas to hit up. The first is Bardstown road – Full of bars and a good time. You can literally walk from one end to the other and you’ll pass 100 bars and restaurants. I personally like some of the Irish bars like Flannigans and O’Shaes, Baxters is also fun and the Back Door is also a good time. If you head over to the St. Matthews area, you have Tin Roof and Gerstles – depending what vibe your feeling, it’s great. It’s sticky floor, crowded, live music, blackout kind of fun. Downtown Louisville is also an option, Nulu area has a lot of really great bars – I like Taj, Galaxy, there’s also a new Karaoke bar in that area as well. Fourth Street Live is also downtown, if you go this route – do your research on what is going on because sometimes it can be a bust if its a slow weekend. Honorable mention if you are in Middletown, the Blind Squirrel is a huge bar that gives beach bar vibes. Super fun for daytime or nighttime. 8Up is a rooftop bar in the heart of downtown, really cool atmosphere – food isnt great but the drinks are definitely top notch.

Daytime Activities: There is the obvious to go on a Bourbon tour, but Louisville and surrounding areas also has a ton of great breweries and wineries. For my bachelorette – we had a party bus take us around to different wineries in the surrounding rural areas of Louisville and it was so much fun. You are also really close to Taylorsville Lake – it’s super easy to rent a boat and go out on the lake for the day. If you happen to be here in the summertime or fall – Churchill downs is literally THE spot for horse racing, it’s a really fun time and if you don’t think you can come back for Derby, it’s a great way to experience the horse track. They typically have lot’s of drinks, food, a DJ and is pretty affordable!

This is just the beginning. Louisville has so much to offer for your Bachelorette party or girls weekend so come back for part 2!
