Take a Bourbon Tour: Kentucky is famous for it bourbon, and going on a tour is a great way to learn about the history and production of this iconic drink. The Kentucky Bourbon Trail includes several distilleries such as Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, and Woodford Reserve which are nationally known, but there are much small craft distilleries around Kentucky as well like, Bardstown Bourbon Company and Limestone branch.

Explore a Historic Site: Kentucky has a very rich history, and there are plenty of historic sites to explore. You can visit the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park, the Mary Todd Lincoln House, or the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory.

Go Horseback riding, or check out some famous horse racing sites: Kentucky is known as the horse capital of the world, and horsback riding is a great way to experience the beauty of the state. You can visit horse farms such as the Kentucky Horse Park, and take a guided trail ride. Don’t forget some of the most famous Horse racing tracks in the world. Churchill Downs is located in Louisville and hosts the famous Kentucky Derby, but they also have the Kentucky Derby Museum. Closer to Lexington, visit Keeneland for some great horse racing fun!

Enjoy Outdoor Activities: Kentucky has a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy, including zip lining, rock climbing, and whitewater rafting.
