Unique Ways to Celebrate Valentines Day in Louisville: My Bloody Valentine Murder Mystery Food Tour

Are you tired to doing to same old same old for Valentines Day? Some people love a good dinner and a box of chocolates, and we are not knocking that but why not change it up a bit?

If your significant other is a true crime junkie or loves mysteries, the new Louisville Food Tour they have released for Valentines Day may just be the PERFECT, and different, way to spend time with your significant other during the holiday of love.

My Blood Valentine Louisville Food Tour is a super fun and interactive way to try food and drinks around the NULU area of Louisville, Kentucky. Here is what you need to know.

First you will meet at the first stop where you’ll do a quick introduction with your tour guide and the other folks on the tour. Some people go as couples and some don’t, so it’s actually great for anyone! You do not have to be in a couple to play. This would actually be a great Galentines event too!

The Tour Guide giving an intro of the "Murder Mystery" and assigning characters

Once you are all together and done the quick introductions, the tour guide will go around and reach out a bio of the “characters” in the story. One by one, you can choose which player you’d like to be. There are a few couples in the story, but you do not have to be matched up with your significant other in the actual characters, it’s actually more fun if you are not! Each character will get an envelope that includes a name tag so everyone knows who you are, and a number of cards that will help you go along as you try to solve the murder!

At each stop you will enjoy drink, food and drink as you get to know your fellow players of the game by talking to them in character and following the prompts in your envelopes. You’ll gather clues and find more out about each character as the night goes on.

At the last stop, everyone will try to gather their clues to reveal the murderer over a delicious entree and dessert, but watch out for any twists in the story. Finally the murderer is revealed and all is solved.

Each tour may be a bit different, but on our tour we had three different stops with very short walking distance in between. So although it was colder out, it wasn't bad because there was not much outside time at all. At our first stop we enjoyed a lovely cocktail, at the second spot we enjoyed another cocktail and heavy appetizers, then at the last stop we had a third cocktail and a larger entree dish as well as dessert. You will not leave the tour hungry! There is plenty of food and drinks. For those non-drinkers, there are mocktail options at every stop and they take into account and food allergies. We had several folks in our group either not drinking or that had food allergies and the tour guide takes care of it all!

It’s truly such a fun and unique experience! Check it out and let me know what you think.
